Oklahoma has for a long time been synonymous with Bingo. This is due to the fact that the Amerindian bands of Oklahoma have provided Bingo sessions for many years. Guests from every one of the neighboring states pile in automobiles and head over to Oklahoma to gamble on Bingo on the weekends.

The 1988 (IGRA) Indian Gaming Regulatory Act was introduced after a precedent setting determination by The U.S. Supreme Court just the prior year. Since that time, 23 of the thirty nine Native tribes located in Oklahoma have introduced bingo halls. The Chickasaw were the first Oklahoma Indian tribes to take advantage of the gambling rules, and today control ten gambling halls of their own. Bingo was the game on which these gambling dens were built on. computerized games like slots weren’t approved, since they’re believed to contribute to gambling problems more than bingo.

In the past few years, Oklahoma rules has changed to permit massive Indian gaming casinos. You’ll now see Native casinos with slot machines, video poker and blackjack tables. Craps and roulette are not legal in the Indian gambling dens yet, although that is just a matter of time. Nobody can say with whether having different games in the bingo houses will do for the draw of bingo.
